The Rappahannock United Way Women
United Leadership Council proudly
hosted its 2nd Women of Influence
Award Luncheon, celebrating the legacy
of long-time RUW supporter Cathy Davis.
In April, Rappahannock United
Way’s Women United Leadership
Council hosted over 100
community-focused women as they
took part in an ALICE Experience an immersive experience that helps
individuals understand the financial
challenges faced by ALICE
households.
This inspiring event brought together
some of our region’s most civically
engaged women and men to honor our
2023 Woman of Influence,
Rhonda Cary Fried.
Rhonda was recognized for her
unwavering dedication to advancing
Education, Financial Stability, and
Healthy Living in our communities, as
well as her empowering call for Women
United members to "lead the charge and
inspire change."

Last Spring we celebrated our 2023
Campaign Companies for “Cooking
Up Community” workplace
campaigns. During the luncheon,
awards were presented to the
campaign volunteers and companies
who participated in RUW’s 2023
campaign season.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, Rappahannock United Way is driving lasting change
in the Fredericksburg Region by supporting ALICE households. In May, over 200 esteemed
guests joined us for an unforgettable evening to celebrate their impact and share our vision for
advancing our financial stability programs. Guests enjoyed dinner, cocktails, and an inspiring
talk by former Washington Redskins star and motivational speaker, Joe Theismann.
